Our COVID-19 Response

With 30 years of commercial cleaning service experience and having weathered both H1N1 and SARS, Platinum Leaf is extraordinarily well-prepared to assist our clients with both prevention advice and practical applications.

Our first concerns have always been the safety of our staff as well as that of our clients and partners. This could not be more true than during this pandemic.

Since COVID-19 arrived in Canada, our lives have all changed drastically, and our world is seemingly evolving on a daily basis. We are currently supporting several hundred clients with additional prevention services including touch-point sanitizing, assisting in the setup of hygienic sanitation stations, fogging, and more.

We continue to monitor Health Canada as well as provincial health authorities, the CDC, and the WHO, to better serve our clients utilizing practical information.

Our entire team showed their mettle during the first critical weeks of the pandemic as we ramped up services to many of our panicked partners. During this time many of our staff worked 18-hour days, 7 days a week. Our entire team understood the critical nature of what we were tasked to do, and they all cared to contribute in significant ways.

Recognizing that our staff work in our clients’ facilities, it has been critical for Platinum Leaf to ensure we have strict operating guidelines for our crews. As such, we limit the business travel of our staff according to Health Canada recommendations, and any team member that has travelled for personal reasons is required to self-isolate for 14 days. Anyone exhibiting symptoms is required to self-isolate and be tested for the virus should symptoms persist. We are in constant contact with our clients and ask that they inform us immediately of any incidents involving COVID-19 such that we may take the appropriate steps to ensure the safety of our staff and partners across the board.

During this time, we have conducted most of our communication with clients, staff and suppliers by phone and email, limiting in-person contact as much as possible as per health authority guidelines. When we must be on-site, we wear gloves and masks at all times, and maintain proper distancing. As a result of our efforts, we are proud to state that none of our staff or frontline workers have contracted COVID-19.

Please feel free to call us with any questions, or if you require our assistance.

Stay safe, stay healthy, and stay informed.
